At her Montessori school, Julia made a turkey from oven-baked clay. It took children few weeks to complete the project: they each had to mold, bake, and then paint over with lacquer their own turkey – just in time for Thanksgiving ๐ฆ.
Julia used scotch tape to adhere fresh autumn leaves to turkey's tale to give it a fuller effect.
Children made this lovely nature display to decorate our learning space. They also used this clay turkey in a Thanksgiving-Inspired Forest Animals Sensory Bin.
