Materials and Supplies
These are the materials you will need to make this easy-peasy bubble-wrap seasons tree craft:
- a Seasons Tree trunk printout (download below)
- *colored paint ~ we are using tempera paints
- bio glitter optional
- recycled bubble wrap
- recycled TPR (toilet paper roll) or paper roll
- rubber bands
Tree Painting Seasons Colors
Assuming that white paper is your background:
Use white or silver paint to resemble snow in the winter.
For spring tree flowers, use white and pink paints.
Use green paint for summer tree leaves.
Finally, use red, orange, and yellow for the autumn/fall tree leaves.
Instructions
First, print the seasons tree template and cut out each tree (along the dotted lines), or leave all intact on one page.
*Arrange the cards in a circle to emphasize the cyclical nature of life. I started with winter, but feel free to start with the season of your choice. Just make sure that seasons are arranged in sequential order.
Making a Stamp
To make a stamp to print with, cut four pieces of bubble wrap so that they are slightly larger than the end of a cardboard tube (TPR). Then, use an elastic band to secure the bubble wrap to the tube.
Next, squirt paints of your choice to represent each season.
Finally, dip the stamp into the paint and print it on a tree.
How to Make Four Seasons Trees Bubble-Wrap Toddler-Friendly Craft (Easy Tutorial)
As children press the stamp down onto the paper, they will observe many exciting patterns made by the bubble wrap. Also, experiment with color mixing, for example, mixing fuchsia and white to make a pretty light pink of spring blossoms. Alternately, experiment with mixing yellow, orange, and red to replicate the fall foliage for the autumn tree. Ask your child to name the colors and/or describe the process.

What is Process Art
Process art is a form of artistic expression where the focus lies on the process and not the end result. Messy arts and crafts using bubble wrap, a brush, a sponge, or finger painting are very important for early childhood development since they help the body and brain integrate tactile information creatively.
Process art is perfect for little artists since the focus lies on creating the work, not the outcome! During this fun artistic process, your child learns how colors work, especially color mixing, while developing spatial awareness and sensory integration. And it’s a creative, fun, and artistic exploration!
