Threading wooden beads ON Pasta

Usually, a toddler will string pasta on a thread or a long stick (a stick can be inserted in a large piece of play dough), but what about threading ON pasta? We had some pasta that fell on the floor, so I decided to make a sensorial bin with it, by adding different wooden beads. I thought that Adrian would play with pasta, breaking it in pieces, then pull out the wooden beads and sort them. Instead, he started to thread the beads ON a thin long spaghetti 🙂 That is why I love Montessori – follow the child and observe …

Let me know what type of “threading” you do with your toddler?

Leave it for a toddler to come up with it 🙂
