HOW to present this PomPom Fine-Motor Turkey DIY:
There are a few ways you can present this Turkey DIY depending on your child’s age. First, little ones (1 Y+) will enjoy posting pom poms into the bottle (no tongs are needed at this age). With color recognition, a child becomes aware of different colors at around 12 months, and the developmental milestone to learn to identify colors emerges from age 12 to 18 months. Thereafter, at around 2.5 – 3 years old, a child learns to name different colors. So, at that age, you can either name the color and offer a child to post that color pom pom into the bottle. Alternatively, you can invite your toddler or preschooler to name the color and post it accordingly. Also, at about 3 – 4 years old, your child might have enough fine motor control to use tongs instead of fingers. Thus, besides learning colors, this DIY is also an awesome activity to strengthen small muscles of the hand!

Moreover, this Thanksgiving Turkey Color-Match DIY helps develop other skills, such as hand-eye coordination, bilateral control (e.i. when holding a bottle with one hand and dropping a pom pom with the other), dexterity and more!
Please, always supervise your child.
