Color Recognition
Development milestone to learn to identify colors emerges from age 12 to 18 months. Thereafter, your child will become aware of different colors at around one year of age and might name different colors by about the age of 2.5 to 3 years of age.
Fine Motor Control Development
Moreover, before you put a pencil in your child’s hand, let them explore the world sensorially! Before your little one is able to write, they must have enough fine motor control and hand strength needed for the task of holding a pencil or a pen. And the best way to develop motor control is by offering little hands to poke and pull, post and thread, cut and manipulate, pinch and transfer. Practice makes progress!
