Julia has been enjoying all sorts of arts and crafts lately, knitting fork in particular. This knitting tool (buy here) is a perfect introduction to a pleasure of working with yarn. With a simple hand and finger movement, a child creates a loose, chain-like stitch.
This fork is made in Germany, and it comes with brief instructions. It took us a while to figure out how to work the "fork," but Julia was determined, and she did not give up until a chain-like stitch tail started to appear.
