PYSSAL BEADS SUBSTITUTE:
If you do not have PYSSLA beads, try cutting straws into small pieces or even try water-beads. Also, try orange peel or raisins.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND RISING BEADS
The mystery is the AIR that we breathe! When you turn the bottle upside down, the pressure of the air INSIDE the bottle and the air pressure OUTSIDE the bottle is equal. The water is able to stay INSIDE, even while it is being lifted UP, becauseย air pressure is pushing down onย the waterโs surface. This forces the water and beads UP into the bottles. The beads are super LIGHT so they FLOAT UP to water’s surface! However, once the surface is broken there will no longer be air pressure to keep the water suspended.

Try this experiment using various types of PAPER. Try changing the amount of water in the cup. Also, try different containers. Does it make any difference? Will a wider cup hold the paper better than a narrower cup? Does the temperature of the water have any effect on the water staying inside the cup? Let me know in comments!
AGE 6Y+ . Always supervise your children while they are learning through play!
STEM EDUCATION
STEM education stimulates cognitive development, develops problem- solving skills, encourages experimentation, teamwork and more! Most importantly, you can easily conduct them at home and bring the magic of science to life!
